Shadow indigenous affairs Minister Dr Sally Talbot responded by calling for the minister to stand aside from his position whenever matters related to FMG or its related partners come before him.

Conflicted Minister: Meri Fatin spoke to WA Minister for Indigenous Affairs, Peter Collier, Monday 30th May. In the last few minutes of the interview the Mr Collier admitted that he “takes great guidance” from his “close personal friend” Andrew Forrest, Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation fear that the procedural fairness and independence of the Minister’s office with regard to heritage decisions have been compromised.
